Kelly Louise is Law graduate of the University of London International Programmes and is a member of the Seychelles Bar Association.
Kelly is the young and dynamic head of the Civil and Commercial division of Georges & Co. Attorneys and is engaged at any given point in a number of Commercial and Civil matters involving persons and companies, both local and international. Kelly is involved in these matters at all stages, from the advising of parties at the inception of the claim until the matter is litigated upon before the Courts, at both the initial trail stage and at the appellate level.
Kelly joined Georges and Co. after graduating and in that time has been involved in both local and international commercial arbitrations. Kelly is also an advocate in Human Rights issues and has recently been involved in the case of Barbe v Commissioner of Civil Status (2017) where for the first time in the courts of Seychelles a transgender person petitioned the court to have her birth certificate amended after gender reassignment surgery. Kelly in conjunction with the firm’s approach, Kelly regularly undertakes pro bono matters and regularly participates in the firm’s free clinic where individuals can obtain legal advice and assistance as part of the firm’s corporate responsibility.
In addition to being a practicing Barrister and Attorney-at-Law, Kelly also lectures to LLB students at the University of Seychelles and Diploma candidates at the Seychelles Tourism Academy in partnership with the Shannon College of Hotel Management, Ireland.
